Chakravyuh witnesses participation from many B-schools across India, including the likes of, IIM Bangalore, IIM Lucknow, SP Jain, FMS, IIT Kanpur, IIT Delhi, and more than 50 other B-schools. There would be teams including the alumni of IMT Ghaziabad who are enthused about demonstrating their sheer strength in the sports events. They are the all-time shining stars of IMT otherwise known as the Legends as they are one of the most respected and formidable contingents possessing some best of abilities in distinctive games and henceforth demonstrating an extreme rivalry to different teams participating in Chakravyuh.
Contingents coming to IMT Ghaziabad must be well aware of the simple rule that says they can have a maximum of 25 sportspersons including 5 female sportspersons to take part in all the eight games-Football, Cricket, Basketball, Badminton, Tennis, Table Tennis and Throwball. They need to structure their contingents with a well thought out strategy as they would be requiring individuals who can play numerous games in an expert manner. This is because of the cap on the maximum number of players comprising a contingent. Chakravyuh is a test for the B-schools as they can't stand to not partake in any of the game on account of absence of players for that specific game.
The theme for this edition of Chakravyuh is “Legends”. Legends were never conceived, they were fashioned with practice, vigor and determination. Each and every sport has a legend who is remembered for his talent and undying spirit of sportsmanship. IMT this year pays tribute to these legends by naming the fields and courts after them which would serve as the venue for the sports battles of Chakravyuh. The announcements of venues for the matches would inspire the players to play to the best of their abilities and instill in them the spirit of sportsmanship. IMT has attempted to bring out all these qualities in the players by putting their abilities to test in the 72 hours of non-stop battle against some of the best sports talent in the country. It takes more than just skills to become a legend, and the one who can hold on to his/her nerves and perform to the best of his/her abilities to live through the treachery, rises as the “Abhimanyu”.
